Fresh off the runway, we're excited to welcome import Quinton Rose to the Property Brokers Jets for the remainder of the 2025 Sal's NBL season!
6'8 guard/forward Rose from Rochester, USA, lands in Aotearoa after playing in the NBA G League with the Austin Spurs to join our squad for the pointy end of the season.
"We're excited to welcome Quinton Rose to The Jets. He brings proven experience, great length, and maturity to our roster. Quinton is the kind of player who can step in and make an immediate impact at both ends of the floor. He's going to add real depth to our rotation as we push toward the playoffs”, says Coach Tony Webster about the latest addition to the roster.
In 2016, Rose played for the United States at the Albert Schweitzer Tournament, an under-18 competition in Mannheim, Germany. He averaged a team-high 13.8 points per game as the United States finished in ninth place. Rose was a training camp finalist to play at the 2017 FIBA Under-19 World Cup in Cairo.
Quinton's basketball career took off while attending Bishop Kearney High School in Irondequoit, New York. He averaged 23 points and six rebounds per game in his senior season, leading Bishop Kearney to the Class AA sectional semifinals and earning second-team All-State honors. At Temple College, he was named American Athletic Conference Rookie of the Week four times during his freshman season with the Temple Owls and earned a spot on the conference All-Rookie Team.
Rose was drafted for the NBA in 2021, signing with the Westchester Knicks. In the 2023-2024 NBA G League Expansion Draft, Quinton signed with the Rip City Remix (Oregon), but was waived in January 2024 and eventually landed in Texas and signed with the Austin Spurs.
"I'm super excited to join The Jets here in NZ, and looking forward to helping bring in some wins and make the playoff run," says Quinton about joining the Jets roster as we aim for our spot in the 2025 Sal's NBL playoffs.
Quinton landed in Manawatū earlier this week and is ready to get to work as we come up against the Saints this weekend!

About Property Brokers Jets:
At the heart of Jets Basketball is community. As one of the eight founding teams of the National Basketball League (NBL) in 1982, the Jets have proudly represented the Manawatū region. Over the years, the team has reached two NBL finals, in 1992 and 2020. Originally known as the Palmerston North Jets, the team expanded its regional focus and rebranded to the Manawatū Jets in 2002. Despite a brief hiatus in 2015, the Jets made a successful return to the league in 2018, reigniting their commitment to the sport and the community.
Today, the Jets’ vision extends beyond the court. It's about fostering a love for basketball and providing opportunities for kids across Manawatū. Whether they're playing in schoolyards, local playgrounds, or competitions at the Arena, our mission is to open doors for every child who dreams of reaching the highest level of the sport. At the Property Brokers Jets, we’re not just building a team; we’re building a future for the next generation of basketball players.
