Player Announcements
Webster, a 6'2 Point Guard from Auckland, arrives in Palmy fresh off the FIBA Asia Cup Qualifiers tour where he represented New Zealand on the Tall Blacks squad to join The Jets for our redemption season.
6'5 small forward Lambert has been on the youth hoops scene for a few years now, and after getting his first taste of the NBL last season, he's back and hungry for another round.
6'4 shooting guard/small forward Pearn is no stranger to Manawatu hoops and has been on the squad since 2018, starting as a training player. He also plays a key role in the community through his coaching in schools and holiday programmes. Coach Webster had this to say about working with this local hooper since landing in Palmy.
5'10 point guard Matambanadzo hails from Zimbabwe and is no stranger to NZ hoops; having played a few rounds in the NZNBL, he jumps back across the ditch to join The Jets off the back of his 2024 season with the North Adelaide Rockets.
6'6 forward Gibson from Virginia, USA hops across the ditch to Aotearoa from Australia after playing in the NBL1 with the Perth Redbacks to join our squad.
6’8 New Zealand-British Forward Dion Collins hails from Tauranga and has played in the United Kingdom, Sweden, and the USA, most recently in the NBL1 with Western Australia's Mandurah Magic.
Wynyard, a 6'11 forward/centre with an impressive 7'3 wingspan, is an NZ native from Auckland and is no stranger to NZ hoops, having played in the NZNBL previously with the Tuatara and the Rams.
This 'veteran' hooper brings size, athleticism, and a well-rounded skill set to our squad and is looking forward to landing back on New Zealand soil and playing with and against many familiar faces on the court.
Born and bred in Michigan, USA, 28-year-old Goins excelled in football and basketball. Luckily for us, he chose to pursue basketball as a freshman for Michigan State Spartans following his time at Warren Mott High School.
Fresh out the arrivals gate, we're pumped to welcome Dontae Russo-Nance to the Property Brokers Jets for '25!
